Nature's Wonders_BLOOM_for AJJ

Hello and a Happy Friday to you....

For AJJ - Nature's Wonders today I have a double page spread with an Aquamarker background. I scribbled/doodled the markers on a piece of cellophane, then either spritzed or breathed on it and then pressed that down onto the paper to transfer the ink. Also used a mix of alphabet rubber stamps, Inktense pencils/blocks and coloured pencils.

on left page used a PSX Bearded Iris Botanical stamp

on the right page stamps are: ‘ Autumn hedgerow’ by Elusive Images. Words stamp from ‘Eclectica 3’ set by Lin Brown.

Hope to see you at

Have a lovely weekend

  1. Another beautiful spread Gill, love the colours and the lovely iris flowers, so gorgeous. The flowers on the right side remind of the wild flowers I walk through down by the Rhine. Thanks for all your hard work for AJJ, much appreciated, as always. Hugs, Valerie

  2. I love the look and feel of this page, the background and colours are stunning! I use Aquamarkers and have never tried breathing on them, thanks for the tip I will give it a try :-). The danelion quote is wonderful, I'm going to see "wishes" next time! Thanks for making me smile and wishing you a Happy Friday! J :-)

  3. I love these pages Gill. They make a gorgeous spread. Irises are one of my favorite flowers, and so you got me with that image right off the bat. I love the colors in your background too. They are definitely late summer colors. Happy day. Hugs-Erika

  4. Beautiful two pages make a wonderful spread. Love the flowers and colours. Great compositio as well.

  5. This spread is utterly beautiful! Adorable Gill! Happy weekend and thank you for such a beautiful entry... just gorgeous!!! This is really inspiring!!!

  7. Very pretty and complex with lots of layers again. I am intrigued by your technique of painting on cellophane then transferring it, and it certainly gives good results.

    1. Yesterday I misplaced my usual piece of cellophane so I found another and it didn't work - it wouldn't transfer the design - maybe it was the heat or whatever this new clear piece was made from.
You said 'paint' ... thank you Sheila ... I'm wondering how it would work with acrylic or water colours... will have a play with that I think xx :)

  8. OH that dandelion quote is perfect!
I did a dandelion page but haven't share it many wishes ♥
Your pages are really beautiful Gill.
I am such a "blue" person and you've really captured my heart here.
